- Account & contact info: the email address you provide to start a trial or create an account, and basic account status.
- Student writing you submit: text you highlight and send to Scorae for evaluation. This is processed transiently to produce feedback and is not retained after the result is returned.
- Payment information: if you subscribe, payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card details.
- Usage & device data: basic analytics about how the site and extension are used, including via the Meta Pixel on our website, to measure and improve our marketing and product.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service — evaluating responses and returning feedback.
- To create and manage your account, trial, and subscription.
- To send you your install link, login details, and important service messages.
- To process payments and prevent fraud.
- To analyze, maintain, and improve the Service.

4. Student Data & FERPA
Scorae is a tool for educators. Submitted student work is processed only to generate feedback for the teacher and is not stored or used to train models. You are responsible for ensuring your use of Scorae complies with your institution's policies and applicable student-privacy laws (such as FERPA). Scorae is not directed to children, and accounts are intended for educators aged 18 or older.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and billing information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. Submitted student text is not retained beyond the moment it is processed.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to understand site usage and measure marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
